Hi everyone,

I wanted to share how my ITIL 4 Foundation preparation changed, because exam day ended up feeling much calmer than I expected. At first, I only read the material. The guiding principles, the service value system, the four dimensions and the practices all made sense while reading, but I could not tell if I was actually ready. The nerves came from not knowing.

What helped most was testing myself in the same style as the exam. I noticed that a question rarely asks for a definition. It describes a situation and asks which principle or practice fits, so I learned to look for the clue in the scenario instead of the keyword. My weak spots also became obvious. I kept mixing up similar practices until I wrote a one line difference for each pair in my own words. After that, the confusion mostly disappeared.

As I continued preparing later on, I used PeopleCert ITIL 4 Foundation exam practice questions on CertBoosters to do entire sets at one go. This helped me maintain a consistent speed throughout the test without taking too much time on a particular question. By the time I had completed my last few sets, I had gotten used to the format of the test.

Just a small tip – review your mistakes the following day, not immediately after. You will get a new perspective tomorrow, and the explanation will be more effective. It is imperative that you have your PeopleCert syllabus with you during practice.
