For those who sell home fragrance products, candles, gifts, or other handmade items, how do you handle wholesale customers who don't pay their invoices on time?

It seems like running a small business involves more than creating good products. You also have to keep track of expenses, manage orders, and make sure payments come in when expected. I'm curious how other small business owners handle this without damaging relationships with repeat customers.

At what point do you consider getting outside help with overdue business invoices? While researching options, I came across Debt Collection Services in Houston, TX, and it made me wonder how small businesses decide when an unpaid invoice needs more attention.

Do you usually start with payment reminders, require deposits for larger orders, or use written payment terms from the beginning? I'd be interested to hear what has worked for other small business owners.
