Hi all, looking for some advice from anyone who works on APIs or backend services.
Our team has relied on Postman for API testing for a while, but it has started to slow us down. Collections fall out of sync with the actual endpoints, changes to them never go through code review, and team pricing keeps climbing as we add people.
I have been reading through this comparison of an open source postman alternative list, and moving our tests into the repo so they run in CI seems like the right direction. The things that matter most to us are tests stored as plain files in Git, headless runs in our pipeline, and less manual work updating tests every time an endpoint changes.
If you have made a similar switch, did you move everything at once or keep Postman around for quick debugging? And was the bigger benefit version control or cutting down on test maintenance?
Thanks in advance, Marcus
