Malegra Oral Jelly generally contains sildenafil, a medicine used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED). Whether it can be taken safely with an antihistamine depends on the specific antihistamine, your health, and any other medicines you use.
There is no major direct interaction between sildenafil and many commonly used antihistamines. However, some antihistamines can cause drowsiness, dizziness, or a drop in blood pressure. Sildenafil can also cause dizziness or low blood pressure in some people, so taking the medicines together may potentially make these effects more noticeable.
Older antihistamines, such as diphenhydramine or chlorpheniramine, are more likely to cause sedation than newer medicines such as cetirizine or loratadine. Avoid alcohol if you experience drowsiness or dizziness.
The more important concern is whether you take other medications. Sildenafil must not be combined with nitrate medicines, such as nitroglycerin or isosorbide, or with recreational “poppers,” because the combination can cause a dangerous fall in blood pressure. Certain blood-pressure medicines and alpha-blockers may also require caution.
Before combining MALEGRA ORAL JELLY with an antihistamine, check the exact active ingredients with a doctor or pharmacist, particularly if you have heart disease, low blood pressure, or take multiple medicines.
Seek urgent medical attention for chest pain, fainting, severe dizziness, sudden vision or hearing changes, or an erection lasting more than four hours.
