Our team is developing a paid online platform featuring film reviews and original live streams, but we’ve run into a frustrating problem. Due to content distribution rights, we’re forced to block viewers outside our licensed region, and on top of that, some users are dropped when they try to pay for a subscription because of credit card anti-fraud systems. It’s a real shame to lose these people. How do you monetize rejected users so you don’t blow your budget?

And by the way, if we were to display pop-up offers for those who were rejected, would that be very difficult from a technical standpoint? Do we need to manually search for affiliate offers for each individual geographic region and set up complex redirects in the code?

Hello! I completely understand your frustration—we had a similar situation with our digital goods service, where we were losing a lot of potential revenue due to risk checks and regional blocks. To avoid reinventing the wheel, we turned to monetizing rejected traffic. We chose ReTarget.gg, where you don’t have to search for offers manually at all—you just add a single code, and the system automatically displays a Geo Popup or triggers a Decline Popup when a user declines. We set it up in a couple of hours, and now, instead of hitting a dead end, users see a relevant offer. Roughly what percentage of your declines are due to geo-restrictions?
