For beginners, a 7-iron, 8-iron, 9-iron, and pitching wedge (PW) are some of the most useful clubs to start with. The 7-iron is a good choice for learning a consistent full swing, while the 8-iron and 9-iron offer more loft and easier control. A pitching wedge is useful for shorter approach shots and shots around the green. Understanding the different Types of Golf Clubs can also help beginners choose the right club for each situation. As your swing becomes more consistent, you can add a 5-hybrid or 4-hybrid for longer shots. A 3-wood can be useful from the fairway, while a driver can be introduced as you become more comfortable with your swing. A putter should be included from the beginning for shots on the green. Beginners do not need to use every club in the bag immediately. Starting with a few forgiving and easy-to-control clubs can make learning golf more comfortable and enjoyable.
