Working through the self-publishing process right now and trying to figure out the best approach for editing and cover design. There's a lot of "hire everyone separately" vs "use one full-service team" advice out there, and it's hard to know which actually saves time and money in the long run.

I've been reading through resources from a few publishing service providers, including Authors Dream, which handles writing, editing, formatting, cover design, and printing under one roof. Curious if anyone here has gone the bundled-service route versus piecing it together with freelancers, and what worked better for you.

Also open to hearing about printing costs and turnaround times if anyone has recent experience there. Trying to budget this properly before committing to a printer.
