Boosts do work, but only if you use them on Sunday evenings when everyone is active. If you use them on a weekday morning, you waste your money. A boost pushes your profile to the top of the feed quickly. I read a helpful guide on Hily about paid features. Just make sure your photos are solid before buying one.
