It's official, it's not a rumour anymore. The new iPhone lineup was announced on September 9, 2026, with the arrival of the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and a brand-new phone, iPhone Duo, that is Apple's much-anticipated foldable finally coming to fruition. This year it's a whole new ball game because, for once, Apple isn't launching all the apps at once.If you're on the market for an iPhone 18 right now, there's good news and bad news: the standard model won't be included in the September release. It is said that it will be delayed to the spring of 2027, making the base version a much longer wait than normal.
Software-wise, all comes with the official iOS 27, which Apple officially announced at WWDC back in June 2026. At the top of the news is a completely revamped Siri feature, plus new parental controls and photo editing features powered by artificial intelligence that are integrated into the update.The iPhone 18 series is still very new, so the price may still be settling in, as well as the availability of the phones, particularly the Duo which is Apple's first foldable phone. Before I bought into any of them I did find a very decent initial comparison of specs and prices on techyassist, which interested me before I invested my money.For users of the iPhone 16 and 17 who are enjoying their devices without any issues, the necessity for an upgrade may not be immediate unless the foldable design is of particular interest.
