Silagra 50 mg contains sildenafil, the same active ingredient used in Viagra. Its most important interactions are with medicines that lower blood pressure or affect how sildenafil is metabolized. Nitrates — do NOT combine. This includes nitroglycerin, isosorbide mononitrate, and isosorbide dinitrate, used for angina/chest pain. Combining them can cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure. D DailyMed +1 Alpha-blockers such as tamsulosin, alfuzosin, or doxazosin can cause additional blood-pressure lowering, dizziness, or fainting. Sildenafil is generally started at a lower dose when used with these medicines. D DailyMed Other blood-pressure medicines, including amlodipine, can add to the blood-pressure- Silagra 50 Mg effect. D DailyMed Certain antibiotics/antifungals and HIV medicines can increase sildenafil levels. Examples include erythromycin, ketoconazole, itraconazole, and particularly ritonavir. With ritonavir, official prescribing information recommends no more than 25 mg sildenafil in a 48-hour period. D DailyMed +1 Other erectile-dysfunction medicines/PDE5 inhibitors (such as tadalafil or vardenafil) should not be combined with sildenafil because safety and effectiveness of the combination haven't been established.
