Vilitra 20 generally contains vardenafil 20 mg, while Viagra contains sildenafil. Both are PDE-5 inhibitors used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED), but they are different medicines. D DailyMed +1 Vilitra 20 (vardenafil): The usual starting dose is 10 mg, with 5–20 mg adjusted according to effectiveness and tolerability. It is taken as needed, up to once daily. D DailyMed Viagra (sildenafil): The usual starting dose is 50 mg, taken about 1 hour before sexual activity; the dose may be adjusted to 25–100 mg, with no more than one dose per day. Vilitra 20 mg Effectiveness: Both can work well for ED. Individual response varies, so one is not universally “stronger.” Side effects: Both may cause headache, flushing, indigestion, nasal congestion, dizziness, and visual disturbances. Important: Neither drug should be combined with nitrate medicines because of the risk of a dangerous drop in blood pressure. They also should not be taken together or combined with other PDE-5 inhibitors. D DailyMed +1 Bottom line: Vilitra 20 is a relatively high vardenafil dose, whereas Viagra 50 mg is the usual starting sildenafil dose. They are not equivalent milligram-for-milligram. A doctor or pharmacist can help determine which is safer and more appropriate for you.
