Hi everyone,
Our continuous processing line mill drive has started generating extreme thermal spikes and an unusual metallic clacking sound during shift operations.
Synthetic gear oil levels are optimal, but housing temperature keeps exceeding safe operational limits under sustained factory loading.
I suspect severe planetary gear tooth pitting, roller bearing surface degradation, or internal shaft misalignment within the housing.
What specific acoustic monitoring steps or oil contamination checks should our maintenance team conduct before taking the assembly offline?
