Double A Skylight

I’m considering adding a skylight to my home and wanted to get some advice from homeowners in the area. I’ve been researching Skylight Installation Long Island services and realized there are quite a few things to consider before starting the project.

One of my main concerns is choosing the right type of skylight. Fixed skylights seem like a good option for bringing in natural light, while venting skylights may be better for improving airflow. I’m also wondering how much the existing roof condition matters when installing a new skylight.

For anyone who has had a skylight installed in Long Island, how was your experience? Did you notice a significant difference in natural lighting or energy efficiency? I’d also appreciate any tips on choosing a qualified skylight contractor, understanding installation costs, and making sure the skylight is properly sealed against rain and snow.

I’d love to hear recommendations, experiences, or things you wish you had known before having a skylight installed.
