Charlotte Charlotte Douglas International Airport can be a busy place, especially during peak travel hours, but a little planning can make the experience much easier. If you are flying from Charlotte or connecting through the airport, it is worth checking your gate and terminal information before arriving.
I always recommend getting to the airport with enough time to spare. Security lines can vary, and rushing through a crowded airport is never a great way to start a trip. Comfortable shoes are also a good idea since there can be quite a bit of walking between different areas.
If you have a long layover, there are plenty of ways to pass the time. You can grab a meal, enjoy a coffee, browse the shops, or simply find a comfortable place to relax. For connections, keep an eye on the departure screens because gate information can change.
Overall, the airport is much easier to navigate when you stay organized and give yourself extra time. A relaxed approach can make a busy travel day feel considerably less stressful.
