Cricket fans often remember finals for iconic moments. A stunning catch. A match-winning six. A dramatic wicket.
Yet the IPL 2026 Final between Gujarat Titans and Royal Challengers Bengaluru was shaped by something different.
It was shaped by dozens of small victories.
Ahmedabad provided a spectacular setting. The crowd was loud, the expectations enormous, and the stakes couldn't have been higher. Gujarat Titans entered with confidence, knowing they were playing on familiar turf.
However, RCB quickly showed that they were prepared for every challenge.
Their bowlers consistently forced Gujarat's batters into difficult decisions. Fielders cut off boundaries. Singles were contested. Pressure accumulated one ball at a time.
Washington Sundar's composed innings prevented the situation from becoming much worse. His ability to remain calm while wickets fell around him gave Gujarat something to build upon.
Unfortunately for the Titans, the support never arrived.
The partnership that could have changed the game simply never happened. Every attempt to rebuild ended before it gained momentum.
RCB recognized those opportunities and capitalized on them. Their collective effort highlighted the value of teamwork and preparation.
Much like completing a go exchange id create registration successfully requires attention to detail, Bengaluru's performance was built on getting the basics right repeatedly. Those small victories eventually became a major advantage.
