Fildena (contains sildenafil, a PDE5 inhibitor) can cause vision changes mainly around the time the drug is active in your body. When vision changes can happen They typically occur: Within 30 minutes to 4 hours after taking a dose (when the drug is peaking in your bloodstream) During the same day of use, especially if you take a higher dose or are sensitive to the medication Rarely, effects may last longer if there is underlying eye disease or impaired drug clearance What kind of vision changes can occur Most are temporary and dose-related, such as: FILDENA tint to vision (color distortion) Increased sensitivity to light Blurred vision Difficulty distinguishing blue/green shades These happen because sildenafil mildly affects an enzyme in the retina (PDE6), not just blood flow in the penis. Rare but serious warning (important) Very rarely, sildenafil has been linked to a condition called NAION (non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy), which can cause sudden vision loss.
