Aurogra 100 mg acts mainly in the blood vessels of the penis to treat erectile dysfunction (ED). It contains sildenafil citrate, a phosphodiesterase?5 (PDE?5) inhibitor that blocks the PDE?5 enzyme in the smooth muscle of penile arteries and the corpus cavernosum (the erectile tissue of the penis).

By inhibiting PDE?5, AUROGRA 100 increases levels of a substance called cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP), which relaxes the smooth muscle in the penile blood vessels, allowing more blood to flow into the penis during sexual stimulation. This improved blood flow helps the penis become firmer and stay erect long enough for sexual activity, but the drug does not work without sexual arousal.
