Chasing Parallel 5 in MLB The Show 26 can turn into a proper time sink if you just load into normal games and hope for the best. You'll get there, sure, but it'll feel painfully slow. The smarter move is to build every game around PXP from the start, the same way some players plan their lineups around rewards, cards, and MLB 26 stubs instead of playing random innings with no real target. If you want faster progress, you need more swings, more damage, and fewer dead minutes.

Use a park that helps your hitters
Big league stadiums look great, but they're not your friend when you're grinding hitting PXP. Deep gaps and normal elevation slow everything down. Go into the Community Vault and look for a custom stadium built for offense. A place like Blank Canvas, or anything with high elevation and short fences, makes a huge difference. Balls that would die on the warning track in a regular park suddenly leave the yard. That means more homers, more extra-base hits, more runs, and a much better return on each plate appearance.

Bat first and waste less time
When you play against the CPU, set yourself as the away team. It sounds like a tiny detail, but it changes the rhythm of the grind. You hit right away in the top of the first, so there's no sitting through a pitching half-inning before your bats get a chance. Stack the top of your lineup with the cards you're trying to parallel, swing away, and see how much damage you can do. If the inning goes well, you've already banked useful PXP. If it doesn't, restart and move on. No need to be precious about it.

Pick the difficulty you can actually handle
Rookie is comfortable, and for some players it's still the best choice. But if you're squaring balls up on a regular basis, don't ignore the higher settings. All-Star and Hall of Fame bring better multipliers, and those bonuses add up fast over a long session. The catch is simple: missing everything on a harder setting helps nobody. Try a few games and be honest with yourself. If you can still hit bombs without turning every at-bat into a panic swing, bumping the difficulty can speed the whole thing up.

Pitchers need a different plan
Grinding pitchers offline works, but online modes can be better because the multiplier is stronger. Events are especially useful if you're focused on one starter. A lot of players will throw a few innings, get the strikeouts and outs they need, then reset their run so stamina isn't a problem. It's not glamorous, but it's effective. You should also line up your grind with program missions whenever possible. If the same cards help with Team Affinity, seasonal goals, packs, or MLB stubs, the session feels less like a chore and more like you're actually getting paid for the time.
