I’ve been reading a bit about molybdenum metal lately and found it pretty interesting. It’s not something you hear about often, but it seems to play a really important role in a lot of industrial applications.

From what I understand, molybdenum has a very high melting point and performs really well under extreme heat and stress. That’s why it’s commonly used in steel alloys to improve strength, hardness, and resistance to corrosion. It’s also used in furnace parts, aerospace components, and some electronic and electrical applications where stability at high temperatures is important.

What surprised me is how often it’s used alongside other metals like tungsten or chromium, especially in specialized alloys. It seems like it quietly supports a lot of heavy industries without getting much attention.

I’m curious to hear from people who have experience with it—how critical is molybdenum in your work or industry? Do you see any issues with availability, pricing, or substitutes for it in modern manufacturing?
