Vilitra 10 (which contains vardenafil) should be used carefully with antifungal medicines, because some antifungals can increase vardenafil levels in the blood. This raises the risk of side effects like low blood pressure, dizziness, fainting, or heart-related issues. Antifungals that require avoiding or strict medical supervision You should avoid Vilitra 10 or only use it under a doctor’s guidance if you are taking strong antifungals such as: Ketoconazole Itraconazole (sometimes) Posaconazole or Voriconazole These drugs strongly block the enzyme (CYP3A4) that breaks down vardenafil, causing Vilitra 10 to build up in the body. Why the interaction matters When combined, antifungals can: Increase Vilitra’s strength unintentionally Prolong its effects Increase side effects like: Severe dizziness Low blood pressure Headache or flushing Rare heart-related strain Safer approach Doctors may reduce the Vilitra dose significantly or avoid the combination entirely Never self-adjust dose when using these antifungals Always inform your doctor or pharmacist about both medicines
