I run a small trading operation in Ajman and lately I've been realizing that my biggest problem isn't actually getting products in or out, it's keeping track of what I've got sitting in between. We've got all these different box sizes, packaging materials, and components from various suppliers and I swear I spend more time digging through piles trying to find out what we actually have on hand than I do anything productive. I've been looking into tips for streamlining inventory management because I know there has to be a better system than the chaotic method I've got going right now where things just get shoved wherever there's space and I only realize we're low on something when we're already out. I came across an article talking about packaging standardization and how having consistent box sizes and material types can actually make forecasting and tracking way easier, which makes sense when I think about it but I'm not sure where to start without throwing out a bunch of stuff I've already got stockpiled. Anyone here managed to dig themselves out of a messy inventory situation and actually get things organized without having to just scrap everything and start fresh?
