Poxet 30?mg contains dapoxetine, a short?acting SSRI used for premature ejaculation. While it’s usually well tolerated, checking blood pressure is recommended for certain groups of men before starting it, because dapoxetine can affect heart rate and blood pressure slightly, and it interacts with other medications. Who Should Check Blood Pressure Before Using Poxet 30?mg Men with hypertension (high blood pressure) Especially if blood pressure is uncontrolled. Dapoxetine can occasionally increase dizziness or faintness in people with high BP. Men with hypotension (low blood pressure) Those prone to lightheadedness or fainting should confirm baseline BP. Men taking medications affecting blood pressure Alpha?blockers (used for BPH or high BP) Other Poxet 30 mg (beta?blockers, ACE inhibitors, calcium channel blockers) Nitrates are not taken with Poxet, but any BP-lowering drugs warrant caution. Men with cardiovascular disease History of heart attack, stroke, arrhythmias, or unstable angina. A doctor may check blood pressure and heart rate before prescribing dapoxetine. Older men Age >50–60 may increase the risk of orthostatic hypotension (drop in BP when standing).
