Vilitra contains vardenafil, a PDE5 inhibitor similar to sildenafil (Viagra) and tadalafil (Cialis), used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED). While it often works within 30–60 minutes, some men may not experience immediate effects. Here are the main reasons: 1. Timing & Absorption Vilitra needs to be taken 30–60 minutes before sexual activity. Taking it too soon or on an empty stomach versus after a heavy, fatty meal can affect absorption. Fatty meals slow down how quickly the drug enters your bloodstream. 2. Individual Metabolism Everyone metabolizes drugs differently. Age, liver function, and other medications can affect how quickly vardenafil works. For Vilitra it may take up to 1–2 hours to reach peak effectiveness. 3. Dosage Vilitra comes in 5?mg, 10?mg, and 20?mg strengths. A lower dose may be insufficient for some men, especially those with more severe ED, whereas higher doses often produce a faster effect under medical supervision. 4. Underlying Health Conditions Conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, or cardiovascular disease can reduce responsiveness to ED medications. Poor blood flow or nerve damage can make it harder for PDE5 inhibitors to work quickly.
