We are planning to establish a transport service between Porto and Aveiro and are currently trying to assess its profitability in logistical terms. Could you tell us the distance between these cities and the duration of the journey? We are interested in knowing whether this route is convenient for business. Is it possible to make same-day deliveries without any problems? Or is it better to allow for additional time?

It is difficult to give an exact figure, but on average, the journey takes about an hour by van. Sometimes you can drive with almost no delays, and other times you get stuck in traffic as you approach Porto. During the week, traffic is heavier in the morning, especially near Porto, but at night or on weekends you can drive with almost no traffic jams. For my company's calculations, I used the distance between Aveiro and Porto as a reference, which is approximately 80 km. This is sufficient for planning time and fuel. It is best to check the current information on road conditions yourself. Of course, you travel slower in a truck than in a passenger car.
