Australia's top Twenty20 (T20) cricket competition is the Big Bash Cricket ID League (BBL Cricket ID), which is organized by Cricket Australia. Since its founding in 2011, it has evolved into one of the best domestic cricket competitions in the world, including international celebrities, spectacular matches, and millions of devoted cricket fans every year. Australia's top national Twenty20 (T20) cricket franchise competition, the Big Bash League (Big Bash Cricket ID), was originally conceived during the 2011–12 season and is run by Cricket Australia. The league took the place of the previous state-based Twenty20 Big Bash match with eight city-based permits.
