Fildena CT 100 is a medication prescribed mainly for treating erectile dysfunction (ED) in adult men. It contains 100?mg of sildenafil citrate, which belongs to a class of drugs called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE?5) inhibitors. This type of medicine helps improve blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation, making it easier to achieve and maintain an erection sufficient for sexual activity. Primary Use Erectile Dysfunction (ED): Fildena CT 100 is used in men who have difficulty getting or keeping an erection. It is taken before planned sexual activity and works only with sexual arousal. How It Works Mechanism: Sildenafil citrate inhibits Fildena CT 100 PDE?5 enzyme in the penis. When sexually aroused, nitric oxide is released, boosting levels of cGMP, which relaxes blood vessels and increases blood flow into the penis. By blocking PDE?5, sildenafil helps maintain higher cGMP levels to support an erection. Onset & Duration Because Fildena CT is often chewable, it can be absorbed faster than regular tablets, with effects typically beginning within about 20–30 minutes and lasting around 4–6 hours. Other Information It should be taken only once per day. Fildena CT 100 does not protect against sexually transmitted infections or serve as contraception. It’s generally prescription?only, and a doctor should determine appropriateness and dosage. Note: Although the main medical use is ED, sildenafil (the active ingredient) may sometimes be used for pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) under strict medical supervision — but this is not its primary indication for this specific brand.
