Zhewitra 40 mg is a prescription medication that contains vardenafil, which belongs to a class of drugs called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. It is used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. Erectile dysfunction is the inability to achieve or maintain an erection sufficient for sexual activity. Vardenafil works by increasing blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation, which helps achieve and maintain an erection.

ZHEWITRA 40 MG medication is typically taken 30 to 60 minutes before sexual activity, and its effects may last up to 4–5 hours. It should be used only as prescribed by a healthcare provider. Common side effects include headache, flushing, nasal congestion, or dizziness. Rare but serious side effects include sudden vision or hearing loss and prolonged erections lasting more than 4 hours, which require immediate medical attention.

Patients with heart problems, low blood pressure, or those taking nitrates should avoid Zhewitra 40 mg due to the risk of dangerous interactions. Alcohol should also be limited as it can reduce effectiveness and increase side effects. Zhewitra improves erectile function but does not cure ED or increase sexual desire.
