Pregnancy is one of the most transformative experiences in a woman’s life, but the early months often come with a common challenge — morning sickness. Characterized by nausea and occasional vomiting, this symptom is most frequent during the first trimester. While it’s a normal part of hormonal changes, Ayurveda offers gentle, natural ways to bring relief and restore balance.

In Ayurvedic tradition, morning sickness is known as “Garbhin? Chardhi”, caused by an imbalance of the Pitta and Vata doshas. Rather than masking symptoms, Ayurveda focuses on soothing digestion, calming the mind, and nurturing the mother’s overall well-being.

One of the most effective natural remedies is ginger (Adraka). Its warming and digestive properties help reduce nausea and enhance appetite. Sipping warm ginger tea or chewing small pieces of fresh ginger with honey can bring quick relief. Fennel (Saunf) and cardamom (Elaichi) are also beneficial — they cool the stomach, ease bloating, and freshen the breath.

A simple morning tonic of lemon juice and honey in warm water can cleanse the system and prevent queasiness. Staying hydrated with coconut water throughout the day also helps balance Pitta and replenish electrolytes.

At Keyajee, we believe in embracing pregnancy with harmony and care. Our Ayurvedic philosophy supports mothers naturally, combining time-tested remedies with holistic wellness practices to nurture both mother and baby.
