Cenforce 120 contains Sildenafil Citrate, a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor, which is primarily used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED). Cenforce 120 mg mechanism of action begins with sexual stimulation, which triggers the release of nitric oxide (NO) in the penile tissue. Nitric oxide activates guanylate cyclase, increasing cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) levels. Elevated cGMP causes smooth muscle relaxation in the corpus cavernosum, leading to enhanced blood flow and, consequently, an erection. By inhibiting PDE5, Cenforce 120 prevents the breakdown of cGMP, prolonging its effects and maintaining the erection for sexual activity. It does not directly induce an erection without sexual arousal.
