Silditop 100 mg is a prescription medication used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in adult men. The active ingredient in Silditop is Sildenafil Citrate, a potent phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor. It works by enhancing blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation, allowing a man to achieve and maintain a firm erection.
This 100 mg strength is considered a standard therapeutic dose, suitable for individuals who do not respond adequately to lower doses. The medication should be taken orally, approximately 30 to 60 minutes before sexual activity, and its effects can last up to 4 to 6 hours. It does not initiate an erection on its own—sexual arousal is necessary for it to be effective.
Silditop 100 mg should Silditop 100 be used in combination with nitrates, certain blood pressure medications, or recreational substances like "poppers." Patients with heart conditions, liver or kidney disease, or a history of stroke should consult their healthcare provider before use.
Common side effects may include headache, flushing, nasal congestion, upset stomach, and dizziness. If an erection lasts more than 4 hours (priapism), seek immediate medical attention.
