Vilitra is a popular medication used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED). Its active ingredient is Vardenafil, a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE-5) inhibitor. Vardenafil works by relaxing the blood vessels in the penis, allowing increased blood flow during sexual stimulation, which helps achieve and maintain an erection.
How Vardenafil Works When sexually aroused, nitric oxide is released in the penile tissue, stimulating the production of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP), which causes smooth muscle relaxation and increased blood flow. PDE-5 is an enzyme that breaks down cGMP. Vardenafil inhibits PDE-5, thereby increasing cGMP levels and enhancing the natural erectile response.
Advantages of Vardenafil in Vilitra
It acts relatively quickly, usually within 30 to 60 minutes.
Effects can last for about 4 to 5 hours, providing a suitable window for sexual activity.
Vardenafil is known for fewer visual side effects compared to sildenafil, making it a preferred choice for some men.
VILITRA should be taken as prescribed by a healthcare professional. Like all PDE-5 inhibitors, it requires sexual stimulation to be effective and is not an aphrodisiac or cure for ED.
