Hi everyone!

I’ve always been curious about reptiles, so I thought I’d share some fun and simple facts for anyone else who’s interested!

Reptiles are cold-blooded animals. This means their body temperature changes with the weather around them. They can’t warm themselves like people or dogs do. You’ll often see them sunbathing to stay warm.

There are many characteristics of reptiles that make them different from other animals. One big thing is their skin. The characteristics of reptiles include dry, scaly skin, which helps keep water in their bodies. This is why they do well in hot and dry places.

Most reptiles lay eggs, though some can give birth to live babies. They breathe air through lungs and usually have four legs (though snakes don’t have any!).

Some popular reptiles you might know are snakes, lizards, turtles, and crocodiles.

Learning the characteristics of reptiles can help us understand how they live and survive in the wild. I think they’re really cool!
