Poxet 90 mg contains dapoxetine, a short-acting selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) used primarily to treat premature ejaculation in men. While generally effective, Poxet can aggravate several underlying health conditions and must be used cautiously.
One major concern is cardiovascular disease. Poxet can cause a drop in blood pressure, dizziness, and fainting, especially in men with pre-existing heart conditions, such as arrhythmias, heart failure, or recent heart attacks. It may also prolong the QT interval, potentially leading to serious heart rhythm problems.
Individuals with liver impairment should also avoid or limit use of POXET 90 MG as the liver metabolizes dapoxetine. Severe hepatic dysfunction can increase the risk of drug accumulation and adverse effects.
Poxet may aggravate mental health disorders, including bipolar disorder, depression, or manic episodes. As an SSRI, it may trigger mood swings, anxiety, or suicidal thoughts in vulnerable individuals.
Additionally, those with a history of seizures or epilepsy should avoid using Poxet, as it may lower the seizure threshold.
Finally, Poxet should not be combined with MAO inhibitors, SSRIs, or drugs that affect serotonin levels due to the risk of serotonin syndrome, a potentially life-threatening condition.
