If you're setting up a network or just trying to understand how devices communicate, knowing the difference between Hubs & Switches is essential. Let’s break it down!

Hubs are basic networking devices that broadcast data to all connected devices, whether they need it or not. They operate at Layer 1 (Physical Layer) and don’t filter traffic. That makes them simpler but slower and less secure.

Switches, on the other hand, are smarter. They work at Layer 2 (Data Link Layer) and send data only to the device it's meant for, improving both speed and security. Most modern networks prefer switches over hubs.

Use Cases:
Hubs: Rarely used today, but useful in small, temporary setups or testing environments.

Switches: Ideal for homes, offices, and large networks where efficiency matters.
