"Boujee" and "Bougie" are often used interchangeably, but there is a subtle difference. Both words come from "bourgeois". "Bougie" generally refers to someone who has a high class or actor, while "boujee" bends more towards provoking an attractive, rich lifestyle in a fun or excessive way. Think of firmly as "bougie" and "boujee" as glam and bold. In random speech, however, many believe them to be the same.
