A QuickBooks Script Error usually pops up when you're trying to open a company file or access a webpage within QuickBooks. It’s generally caused by issues with your browser settings, such as outdated Internet Explorer components, active scripting errors, or corrupt Windows files.
Here’s what worked for me:
Open Internet Explorer (QuickBooks still relies on it for some functions).
Go to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced tab.
a
Disable “Display a notification about every script error.”
Clear cache, history, and temporary internet files.
Reset Internet Explorer settings to default.
Also, make sure you're using the latest version of QuickBooks and Windows. If the issue persists, try launching QuickBooks as an admin or repairing it via the Control Panel.
