How to Fix Zmodo Camera Red Light Issue?

During a red light, the Zmodo camera is often reported to be having Wi-Fi connection troubles or else being Zmodo camera offline. This is a very common trouble that resolves easily with the following simple steps.

First, you evaluate the internet connection: your router should be switched on and broadcasting a steady 2.4GHz signal since Zmodo cameras do not support 5GHz. After confirming the internet is fine, the next step is to power cycle the camera by unplugging it for 10 seconds and plugging it back in.

Also, make sure that the camera is in the range of your router. If it is far away, then either move it closer or use a Wi-Fi extender. If it still shows as offline, then open the Zmodo app and add it back. Tap the “+” icon, select your device, and follow the on-screen prompts for reconnection.

If the Zmodo Camera red light stays, then check for firmware updates in the app or reset the camera and hold the reset button for 10–15 seconds.

These remedies will bring your Zmodo camera offline back into being.
