Fildena CT 100 is a chewable tablet that contains 100 mg of sildenafil citrate, used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED). Like all sildenafil-based medications, it comes with several contraindications — meaning conditions or situations where you should not use it because it could be unsafe or harmful. ?? Major Contraindications for Fildena CT 100: 1. Use of Nitrates Absolutely avoid if you're taking nitrate medications (e.g., nitroglycerin, isosorbide dinitrate) for chest pain or heart conditions. Combination can cause a severe and dangerous drop in blood pressure. Fildena CT 100 Conditions Recent heart attack or stroke (within the last 6 months) Unstable angina or severe heart failure Low blood pressure (<90/50 mmHg) Uncontrolled high blood pressure 3. Severe Liver or Kidney Impairment These organs help metabolize and eliminate sildenafil. Impaired function can cause drug buildup, increasing risk of side effects. 4. Retinal Disorders Retinitis pigmentosa or a history of NAION (non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy – sudden vision loss) Sildenafil can worsen certain eye conditions or increase risk of permanent vision loss. 5. Known Allergy to Sildenafil Any previous allergic reaction (rash, swelling, breathing difficulty) is a strict contraindication. Use With Caution (Talk to a Doctor First) Even if not strictly contraindicated, caution is needed if you have: Peptic ulcers or bleeding disorders Deformity of the penis (e.g., Peyronie's disease) Conditions that may predispose to priapism (e.g., sickle cell anemia, leukemia) Alpha-blockers (for prostate issues or high blood pressure) Certain antifungals (ketoconazole, itraconazole) Protease inhibitors (e.g., ritonavir) Other ED medications
