God’s Moral Law refers to a set of divine principles and ethical commands revealed through scripture, particularly the Ten Commandments. In Christian theology, these laws express God’s unchanging standard of right and wrong and are rooted in His holy and just character. Unlike ceremonial or civil laws in the Bible, the moral law is considered timeless and universally applicable. It guides human behavior, defines sin, and reveals our need for grace and redemption. Christians believe that by following God’s Moral Law, believers live in a way that honors God, promotes justice, and reflects love for others. While salvation is not earned by obeying these laws, they serve as a moral compass that helps believers grow spiritually and live righteously. The teachings of Jesus in the New Testament affirm and deepen the understanding of these laws, especially through the commandment to love God and love one’s neighbor.
