Hey everyone,
I wanted to open a discussion about Stalopam (Escitalopram) — a medication that’s commonly prescribed for anxiety and depression. I recently started taking Stalopam 10 mg on my doctor’s recommendation, and I’m curious to hear how it’s worked for others here.
I know it’s an SSRI (Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor), and it’s supposed to help with mood regulation, but I’m currently on week 2 and still experiencing mild side effects like nausea and a bit of brain fog. I’ve also read that it can take 3–6 weeks to fully kick in.
Some questions I have:
How long did it take before Stalopam started working for you?
Did the side effects go away over time?
Has anyone switched to or from Stalopam compared to other antidepressants like Sertraline or Fluoxetine?
Did it help more with generalized anxiety or panic attacks?
Also, my doctor mentioned that Stalopam is a brand of Escitalopram, which is considered a bit more tolerable than older SSRIs. Any truth to that?
I’d love to hear your experiences — good, bad, or neutral. Let’s make this a helpful thread for anyone curious about Stalopam and mental health meds in general.
