Hello, I just returned from a trip flying LAX Southwest Airlines Terminal and thought I'd report how it went. Short version: surprisingly seamless! Check-in was a breeze—I used the kiosk, printed my boarding pass and bag tag in under two minutes. The TSA line appeared long at first but crawled along steadily, and the agents were efficient but courteous. Once you've cleared security, there are lots of seats and a reasonable selection of food, ranging from coffee to burgers. It's not gaudy, but it serves its purpose. Most impressive was how calm everything was despite the crowds. The boarding was efficient, and the Southwest gate agents were friendly and professional. I especially liked that they kept us informed without incessant loud announcements. No frills, but no fuss either. If you're taking Southwest out of anytime soon, you should get a good experience—just keep in mind, it's still, so bring some patience along.
