Departing from Newark (EWR) on Alaska Airlines was unexpectedly seamless and relaxed, particularly given how busy that airport can become. Alaska functions from Terminal B, and although the terminal isn’t the most modern, everything was tidy, orderly, and simple to navigate. The Alaska Airlines EWR Terminal check-in process was swift—kiosks operated efficiently, and the staff were genuinely pleasant and supportive, which isn't commonly seen at bustling airports. The security lines progressed quicker than I anticipated, and once I was inside, there were several food and coffee choices available to pick up something prior to the flight. The gate section was somewhat busy, but there were plenty of seats available if you were willing to glance about. The boarding process was smooth, and the Alaska team managed everything courteously. In general, for a significant airport in the NYC region, Alaska at EWR surpassed what I anticipated. It may not be extravagant, but it serves its purpose well, and the airline’s customer support provided a pleasant aspect. If you’re taking Alaska from Newark, Terminal B serves you well—and with a bit more convenience than you might anticipate from one of the nation’s busiest airports.
