A combination drug called Foracort Forte inhaler is used to treat both asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Its two main components are formoterol, a long-acting bronchodilator that relaxes the muscles surrounding the airways to facilitate breathing, and budesonide, a corticosteroid that helps lessen airway inflammation. As a maintenance medication, Foracort Forte helps avoid symptoms including tightness in the chest, wheezing, and shortness of breath. In the event of an acute asthma attack, it is not meant to provide instant relief. Over time, regular use helps manage symptoms and enhance lung function.
