Instructions:

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves. Set aside.

In a large bowl, beat the butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Add the molasses, egg, and vanilla, mixing well.

Gradually add the dry ingredients, mixing until the dough comes together. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll out dough and cut into shapes.

Place cookies on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes.

Let cool before decorating with icing.


2. Peppermint Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

3/4 cup granulated sugar

3/4 cup brown sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon peppermint extract

2 cups chocolate chips

1/2 cup crushed candy canes

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt.

In another bowl, beat butter, sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, vanilla, and peppermint extract.

Gradually add dry ingredients, then fold in chocolate chips and crushed candy canes.

Drop spoonfuls onto the baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.

Let cool before serving.


3. Snowball Cookies (Russian Tea Cakes)

Ingredients:

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1/2 cup powdered sugar, plus extra for dusting

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions:

Instructions:

In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until creamy. Add egg, vanilla, and red food coloring.

Gradually add dry ingredients until a dough forms.

Ingredients:

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 cup eggnog

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

In another bowl, beat butter and sugar. Add eggnog, egg, and vanilla.

Gradually mix in dry ingredients until dough forms.

6. Christmas Tree Spritz Cookies

Ingredients:

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

Green food coloring

Sprinkles for decoration

Instructions:
