As a first-time author, I’m super excited to publish my book, but I’m also a bit nervous about making mistakes along the way. From what I’ve read, there are a lot of details to manage—editing, formatting, choosing the right publishing route, and even marketing. It’s a lot to think about!
I’ve seen many book publishing services out there offering help, but I’m unsure how to tell the good ones from the bad. What are some red flags to look for when working with a publisher or a self-publishing platform?
Also, I’d love to hear your experiences. For those who’ve been through the process, what’s one mistake you wish you’d avoided? Maybe it’s related to signing a contract, pricing your book, or even designing the cover.
