Super Tadapox is a combination medication used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) and premature ejaculation (PE). It contains two active ingredients: Tadalafil (20 mg) and Dapoxetine (60 mg). Tadalafil is a PDE5 inhibitor that helps relax the blood vessels in the penis, increasing blood flow and aiding in achieving and maintaining an erection. Dapoxetine is an SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor) that helps delay ejaculation by increasing serotonin levels in the brain. Grapefruit and Its Potential Interactions with Super Tadapox Grapefruit and grapefruit juice are known to interact with certain medications, particularly those metabolized by the CYP3A4 enzyme in the liver. Both Tadalafil and Super Tadapox are metabolized by this enzyme, so consuming grapefruit or grapefruit juice while taking Super Tadapox can potentially cause issues. Risks of Combining Grapefruit with Super Tadapox: Increased medication levels: Grapefruit can inhibit the CYP3A4 enzyme, which may slow the metabolism of both Tadalafil and Dapoxetine. This could lead to higher levels of the medications in your bloodstream, potentially increasing the risk of side effects such as headaches, dizziness, flushing, or more serious issues like low blood pressure or priapism (a prolonged and painful erection). Extended duration of effects: Because grapefruit affects the way the liver processes these drugs, the effects of both Tadalafil and Dapoxetine could be prolonged, potentially leading to unwanted side effects or prolonged sexual effects. What You Should Do: Avoid grapefruit: To minimize the risk of interactions and side effects, it is generally advisable to avoid grapefruit and grapefruit juice while using Super Tadapox, especially in large quantities.
