five nights at freddy's 2 is a prequel to the first game, which took place in 1987. Freddy Fazbear's Pizza has been revamped with new animatronics, equipped with facial recognition technology, and connected to a local crime database to ensure the safety of customers.
However, at night, these animatronics become dangerous and begin to move around the restaurant. The player must use the security camera system to track them and use defensive measures such as flashlights and Freddy Fazbear masks to avoid being attacked.
Throughout the game, the player will receive calls from a security guard who previously provided information and instructions on how to deal with the animatronics. These calls also reveal many details about the restaurant's dark history and the mysterious events that have occurred.
One of the key elements of FNaF 2 is the Atari-style minigames, which randomly appear after the player is attacked or completes a night.
