As a single mom, I survived the challenges that come with trying to provide a good life for my children, sometimes working 2 or 3 jobs, just to make sure we had enough. I made a vow to myself that if I could survive single parenting, then I would help other women who faced worse conditions. As a child, I was taught to have a keen sense of respect for people who come from other cultures, as well as a responsibility to help other people in need. My daughter, Sydney, inherited my love for helping others at a very early age. When she completed college, I decided it was time for us to roll up our sleeves and form a charity. globe world
