The Government of India has launched an Electronic Travel Authorization or eTA for India which allows citizens of 180 countries to Indian visa Application online travel to India without the need for a physical stamp on the passport. This new type of authorization is called eVisa India (or Electronic India Visa). This is an online e-India visa that allows foreign visitors to visit India for 5 main purposes, tourism/leisure/short term courses, business, medical visit or conferences. There are a number of other subcategories under each visa type
