To become an expert in the full-stack domain, you must learn a variety of abilities. Here are some of the important abilities required of a full-stack developer:

Front-end programming
To become a full-stack developer, you must first master key front-end technologies such as Javascript, HTML5, and CSS3. It's also helpful to be familiar with front-end JS frameworks or third-party JS libraries such as ReactJS, SASS, jQuery, and AngularJS.

Back-end programming
To become a full-stack developer, you must first master at least one server-side coding language. Java, PHP, Ruby, Python, and.NET are common technologies for this purpose.

SQL queries and database administration
To succeed as a full-stack developer, you must be well-versed in database management systems and SQL queries. As a useful member of a development team, you will need knowledge of database management systems such as MySQL, SQLite, Oracle, Microsoft Access, and others, as well as programming languages.

Design fundamentals
While development and design teams may have distinct functions, a full-stack engineer with a versatile position should have fundamental designing skills. A fundamental understanding of design enables the developer to create more interesting and dynamic front-end experiences. When working on the client side of an app, this ability also aids in understanding user psychology.

Version management
Full-stack developers are familiar with version control systems (VCS) such as Git. This allows them to make essential changes to the codebase. Popular Git repositories for version control and collaboration include GitHub, SourceForge, Bitbucket, GitLab, and Azure DevOps Server.
